There are a wide variety of
activities within a short distance from the Old Gray Goose.
We've listed a few here. But when you are here, we can give you a lot more help.
Some of our recommendations
Just a short ride from The Old Gray Goose is the most popular attraction of the area -- the Pemaquid
Lighthouse. Be sure to take your camera! And be careful climbing on the rocks. We don't
want to lose you.
With the Atlantic Ocean at our doorsteps, no visit to Maine would be complete without
a cruise. Hardy Boat Cruises, departing from New Harbor, offers a Monhegan Island Ferry,
Puffin Watches, Seal Watches and Lighthouse Cruises.

from the boat?
Muscongus Bay Lobster
Company, just
minutes away from the Old Gray Goose on Round Pond Harbor, is your choice.

Also right on Round Pond Harbor is the Anchor Inn Restaurant, a seasonal
full service restaurant complete
with bar. You can reach them at 207 529-5584.
Although sandy beaches are hard to
find on this
part of the Maine coast, you will find one at Pemaquid Beach. They have food and
showers. We'll give you directions.
No visit to Round Pond would be complete without a stop at the historic Granite Hall
Store, famous for its penny candy and gift selection. Find them on Back Shore Rd., which
leads to the harbor. The Granite Hall Store also has Maine's own Gifford's Ice Cream by the
cone. Not to be missed.
